Carers Link – Connecting Carers

Carers Link is a new service that eases the burden of isolation so often experienced by unpaid carers providing support for others.

Developed by Greenwich Carers Centre in partnership with the City Bridge Foundation, Carers Link provides trained volunteers  offering companionship, conversation and support.

It is aimed out our most isolated, older or bereaved carers.

How, when and where you meet your Carers Link volunteer is entirely up to you. It can be over coffee at your home, a cafe, our centre, or wherever you choose.

It isn’t about counselling. It’s about the things we all need from time-to-time, a friendly face, a kind word, and a lot of understanding.

All you need to do is get in touch. We’ll take it from there.

Our team don’t have all the answers, but they have a wealth of experience that comes from working with carers over a long period of time. The service works closely with our professional support team and is able to connect carers with professional support, home visits, information and advice and practical help with things like benefits, form filing and the many other areas that support carers lives.
